OUR GIRLS
EVE | Eve is a wonderful yellow lab. She is very smart, maybe even a little on the sly side. She has been known to plan ahead, manipulate and even negotiate.
Eve is a natural mother. She has nursed many puppies and loved every moment. Once she stole a puppy from another mother and brought it into her own litter. Recently Eve helped out by nursing a litter of puppies whose mom developed a uterine infection. The puppies were komondors ( livestock protector dogs) and Eve moved into their home to serve as their wet nurse till their real Mom was feeling better. We were very proud of her. Eve is very special. | | SADIE | Sadie came to us as a pup, about two months after Eve. We consider ourselves lucky to have acquired her from Linda Wyatt-Degroot at Staghorn Kennels. Her registered name is Staghorn's Hunter's Lady. Linda's line of Labs has many champions, and her dogs are very laid back and gentle. Sadie is no exception. She is well on her way to becoming a champion and is a sucky girl who loves being loved. We think Sadie sees herself as Eve's pup and she goes to her for comforting. It's funny to see her cuddle up to Eve as Sadie is quite a bit bigger than Eve. Sadie loves to swim and fish. She does those great flying leaps off the dock to fetch toys, sticks, etc. She is very accomplished at swimming and not as successful with the fishing, but she tries. | | LUCY |
Lucy came to us next from Cedar Shores Kennels. Her registered name is Lucy at Cedar Shores. She is black, with a very shiny coat that has those beautiful blue tinges to it. Lucy has acquired her hip and elbow clearances. Her first litter in June of 2006 was a resounding success. Her puppies are beautiful and have been placed with wonderful new families. Her sire is the famous Cash from Devonsleigh Kennels. Obedience trained Lucy just wants to do what we ask of her. She is a very good girl who enjoys fetching... and fetching and fetching. Gee, she really likes to fetch. She is beautiful and we have high hopes for her. We hope to show her in the future. | | DANI | Dani's first litter in Oct of 2006 was sired by "Brick". You can view some of her beautiful pups on our litter page. She comes from BriarJ's Kennel, and our good friend Linda Watson. Her registered name is Briar J's Island Dancer. She is a chocolate and has a gorgeous dark brown coat. She has been debuting with myself in the show ring, and doing quite well. Dani is our goofball. She loves everybody, even our cat Jack. She feels that Jack needs to be shown everything she is most proud of: bones, toys, socks, etc. She also feels that Jack appreciates having his face washed. Alas, Jack does not feel the same way, but most often accepts the offering or wash reluctantly. On the odd occasion, Jack gives Dani a bite on the nose, but Dani takes it all in stride, accepting it as a sign of Jack's love for her. Napping family members are also prime targets for "show and tell" or the quickie face wash. Remember this if you ever visit. | RILEY

Riley is a sweet chocolate girl who has her hip and elbow clearances . She is from Mollyreach Kennels originally and is a lovely dark chocolate colour. She is a happy girl who can barely restrain herself from happy wriggles long enough to sit down.
Riley has proven to be a good mom too. She has had a few litters now and all of her puppies have been healthy and happy. | MEADOW
 | Meadow is our youngest girl and daughter of Silvergate's Eve and Cash from Devonsleigh Kennels.Meadow has a very sweet personality. You can't help but fall in love with her. | EBONY
 | Introducing Silvergate's Elegant in Ebony. Daughter of our Dani and the well known conformation champion Brick, Ebony is a beauty with a sweet and obedient nature. Ebony lives with the Youngs of Ennismore. They are wonderful with her. They have one daughter (so far) . Isabelle and Ebony are the best of friends, but Isabelle is definitely the boss. |
